The hoar frost had been rich & heavy and lasted for more than two weeks. The coverage was so wide-spread that it covered from north-central Minnesota all the way through northern Wisconsin. This view, taken from atop a fire tower on a magical Christmas Eve, was breathtaking for its simple magnificence.
