This ancient old truck has been brushed, scoured and beaten by years of rain, sun, snow, dust. I had passed this rusting relic for years without paying it much interest. Out for a photo-sojourn one summer evening, again passing by the discarded hulk, I was drawn to the deeply saturated colors of the hood. In bright sunlight what colors remain are harsh and washed-out; after sunset (and only with a clear sky), colors deepen and come alive.
