Earth Image Photography, Nature Photography

This dragonfly played tag with my lens for at least thirty minutes after setting up and waiting. I had become aware of this guy zipping around the area, but always returning to the same clover. So, I set up carefully, manipulating the tripod upside down, extension tube, filters etc., while figuring that I had permanently scared him off and that there was no way that he would alight atop my chosen clover. He zipped near and away, prepared to land then changed his mind. Back and forth he teased until ... finally he lit... and I clicked.
