This image was made on a beautifully sunny, dry day in late September in the Oneida County Forest. This particular location is available only on foot and in the fall due to the water level being low. I came to think of it as my "secret place" even though others have doubtlessly shared the location before (and since). Nothing about the place is particularly unique; shafts of light filter through mature hardwoods and the unhurried pace of the shallow rocky stream bed, make every such place a unique "secret place."
