Photoshop Darken Mode
The neutral color for the Darken modes is white – white pixels on a layer set to a Darken mode leave the underlying pixels unchanged. Nonwhite pixels darken the result by varying amounts, depending on the blend mode and opacity.
Open image
Duplicate the background layer and rename it Òdarken+blurÓ
Add Gaussian blur of 8 pixels or experiment with higher amounts of blur
Change the layer-blending mode to Òdarken.Ó
Open a new levels adjustment layer and bring the right slider so it just touches the slope
Darken mode is useful also for dust spotting images
